You know how you have those random thoughts? Well, I began thinking about why companies hire people. I have seen several programs on television concerning this issue, and the thing most wanted by employer's is a person with a "great attitude!"
Some employer's said they would sacrifice having a person with as many skills, for a person with a great attitude. They felt the person with the good attitude could be taught skills, while the employee with the bad attitude was more detrimental to the company than someone who lacked as many skills. Employers felt they spent a great deal of valuable time dealing with attitude issues...before they could even get down to business!
I find that negativity breeds inside of a bad attitude, and is more contagious than most any other infectious disease! Because a bad attitude is SO contagious, it is important to take notice! If I get even a whiff of a bad attitude, red flags begin flying and a "beware feeling" comes up inside of me!
When I am at work, and I find myself getting a bad attitude or as my friend calls a bad attitude..."cranky pants," I do my best to get out of it as quick as possible. My day does not go well when I allow myself to get "in a mood!" If I do allow it to continue, before long I can't even stand to be around myself! :D You know it's bad when you can't even stand to be around yourself!
People with a great attitudes are such a joy to be around. I consider them a "breath of fresh air!" Bad attitudes, on the other hand, block the sun and the Son, as far as I'm concerned.
I know we all have "cloudy days" once in a while, and that's normal. But continual negativity gives birth to a critical spirit, and the critical spirit is deadly to every environment.
I feel God's presence more when I have this deep knowing that whatever is going on is in "God's hands!" We have every reason to bring joy into each circumstance, because God is with us. We know that when we "let go" God can do more, and instead of being part of the problem...we become part of the solution.
So, let's give our "cranky pants" away, and create an environment where the joy of the Lord can grow!! As I always say, "Let's make the world a better place!"
I think a great attitude is a "Godly attribute!" A character trait worth striving for...don't you??
AMEN! There is another saying that goes along with "cranky pants." I think it goes like this, "you can get glad in the same pants you got mad it" :)
